Universal "Donate Assets" Snippet

This comprehensive guide provides instructions on seamlessly integrating the "Donate Assets" snippets and graphics into your website, profile at The Giving Block, and email templates.

“Donate Assets” Snippet (Text Version)

Instructions

  1. Copy and paste the text from the Snippet below in a new document.
  2. Add Your Link to Donate
    1. Link the first “here” to your Donate Assets page on your website or to your profile on TheGivingBlock.com. If you have separate pages on your site for Donate Crypto and for Donate Stocks, update the copy to read you can give stocks here and crypto here instead to better support our mission and add the corresponding links.
    2. Do NOT update the second link unless you have created a preferred tax education page on your site that has been approved by a tax professional.
  3. Insert this snippet into your email templates for all fundraising appeals.(*make sure that the links are still working after you paste. Otherwise, relink.)
  4. That’s it! You send your same donor emails throughout the year, but now donors will know that their best asset-giving option is YOU, not a DAF.

Text Snippet (copy & paste)

"Did you know you can donate assets (stocks and cryptocurrency) to us directly? If you normally use a Donor Advised Fund (DAF), please consider giving assets directly here instead to better support our mission. If you'd like to learn more about how some of our donors give assets to increase their impact and lower their tax bill, you can learn more here."
